PAUQUACHIN Hopper barge - February 2004


This is a dump barge owned by Frazer River Pile and Dredge. She is tied off in False Creek which is the water area infront of BC Place ( behind me) and Science Wolrd ( ahead but to the left hard). You will see the two dumptrucks on the ramp, dumping their loads, which go into the barge. When she is loaded, she is then towed out to sea, and dumped in ocean deep water. Posted by Hello

PORT MECHINS - August 2004


PORT MECHINS is a trailing suction hopper dredge, which continuously works the St. Lawrence River just below Quebec City, Quebec. There are a large number of supertankers, which transit this area, and they need deep water (31m). She is owned by Dragages Verreault Inc., of Quebec Posted by Hello

PML 9000 - June 2004


This is the PML 9000. Built for the Alaska trade from Oregon in 1976. Ship can carry close to 9000 Tons of steel coils or scrape. Found it to be an excellent vessel for general cargo also. Owned by Purvis Marine Ltd. Posted by Hello
